Terms & Conditions
1. Scope of Practice
I am a Midwife and IBCLC Lactation Consultant. My role is to provide evidence-based information, practical support, and guidance around infant feeding, antenatal education, and hypnobirthing.
I do not diagnose medical conditions. If I believe you or your baby need medical attention, I will recommend that you seek advice from your GP, midwife, health visitor, or another healthcare professional.
2. Booking & Payment
Payment is due at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.
Cancellations made with at least 48 hours’ notice will receive a full refund or may be rescheduled.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at my discretion.
3. Consultations
Home visits are available within 37 miles of Margate. A travel fee of £0.50 per mile applies beyond this distance.
Please ensure that a responsible adult is present in the home during visits.
4. WhatsApp Support
WhatsApp support is included for a set period depending on the service booked (e.g. 1 week after a consultation, 4 weeks for a package).
I aim to reply within 24 hours between the hours of 9am–6pm, Monday–Friday. Messages sent outside these hours will be responded to as soon as possible.
WhatsApp support is not an emergency service. For urgent concerns, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or emergency services if necessary.
5. Privacy & Confidentiality
All personal information shared with me will be kept confidential and stored securely in line with GDPR.
Notes taken during or after consultations are for professional record-keeping and will not be shared without your consent, unless required by law.
6. Limitations of Liability
While I provide evidence-based information and guidance, every parent and baby is unique. I cannot guarantee specific outcomes from consultations or courses.
By booking my services, you agree that responsibility for decisions regarding your health and your baby’s health rests with you and your healthcare team.
7. Complaints
I strive to provide a high standard of care. If you are unhappy with my service, please raise your concern with me directly in the first instance so I can try to resolve it.
As an IBCLC, I am bound by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners Code of Professional Conduct. You may also refer complaints to this organisation if necessary.
