Beginning My Journey as a Birth Trauma Resolution Practitioner

Birth experiences can be deeply transformative — moments filled with strength, vulnerability, and emotion. But for some, birth can also leave behind memories that feel overwhelming or distressing. These experiences are often not spoken about enough, yet they can have a lasting impact on emotional wellbeing, confidence, and even the way a person feels about themselves or their baby.

I’m excited to share that I’ve recently begun training as a Birth Trauma Resolution Practitioner. This is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps people process and release the effects of trauma following difficult or distressing birth experiences.

What I love about this training is that it recognises something very important — birth trauma can affect anyone who was in the birth room. That includes not only the birthing person, but also partners, family members, and even professionals involved in the birth. Everyone’s experience matters, and everyone deserves the opportunity to heal.

The Birth Trauma Resolution approach combines elements of relaxation, guided imagery, and understanding the mind-body connection. It’s designed to help restore calm, confidence, and a sense of safety — allowing individuals to move forward without the emotional weight of the past.

As I continue my studies, I’m looking forward to deepening my understanding and developing the skills to support families who have experienced birth trauma. Healing is possible, and compassionate, informed support can make all the difference.

If you’ve been affected by a difficult birth experience, please know you’re not alone. Support is available, and recovery can be a gentle and empowering journey. 💛
